William Andy Bunch, 70, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Born in Delray Beach, FL November 6, 1947, Mr. Bunch attended Lee High School in Jacksonville, FL, and graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1965.  He was a US Navy veteran and married Linda Charlton Koelle November 16, 1969.  Mr. Bunch had a career in the hotel industry and served with several organizations in the Jacksonville area including Easter Seals, Kiwanis, and the Tourist Development Council.  In 2004, Andy received the gift of a heart transplant at Duke University.  He later dedicated time to advocating organ donation and serving as an ambassador with Carolina Donor Services.

Mr. Bunch is survived by his children, Patrick Bunch and wife Christy of Raleigh, and Andrea Miller and husband Josh of Durham; sisters, Jo Bunch Varney of Jacksonville, FL and Elizabeth Bunch Piver of Conway, SC; five grandchildren; five nephews and two nieces.

In addition to his parents and wife Linda, he was predeceased by his older brother, John Steven Bunch of Mauldin, SC.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
