Wayne David Myers

Wayne David Myers, 87, of High Point, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born March 20, 1934, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late James Ovid Myers and the late Ida McNeil Myers. Mr. Myers was a US Army Reserve veteran and retired from Piedmont Wholesale. He was a past President of the High Point Golf Association and a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife Jean Johnson Myers of the home; sons, Tim Myers and wife Lisa of Wallburg, and David Myers and wife Kim of High Point; sister, Vernell Clifton of Thomasville; grandchildren, Timothy Myers, II and wife Erica, Kellen Myers, Caroline Burgess, James Grooms and wife Katie, and Candace Myers; great-grandchildren, Hunter Myers, Hayden Myers, and Holden Myers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Loving and Rev. Ben Free officiating.
