Virgie Mae (King) Marsh

Virgie Mae King Marsh, 84, of High Point, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at High Point Medical Center.

Born October 19, 1936, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert Christopher King and the late Lillie Mae Doss King. Virgie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Marsh and wife Sharon of Florida; daughter, Patty Johnson and husband Mack of High Point, and Rhonda Basso and husband Dale of Oregon; brothers, Roger King and Burke King both of Nathalie, VA; sisters, Susie Waller of Bedford, Virginia, and Virginia Hanes of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Lindsay Earls and husband Dylan, Caroline Basso, Loren Basso, Jonathan Marsh, Isaac Marsh and Lucas Marsh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Joshua Marsh and Cody Marsh.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Gospelway Baptist Church with Rev. Danny McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:15 AM prior to the service.
