Travis Mitchell Morton, Sr., 84, of Trinity, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Born October 3, 1936, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Morton and the late Louise Morton. Travis enjoyed a long career in graphic arts and was the true patriarch of his family and a steadfast anchor of strength. His true passion was his unwavering love for Christ and the desire to share that love with anyone he met. He most enjoyed reading and studying the gospel every day. His beautiful kind spirit was evident as he would stop and pray for anyone at any time. Travis loved to share stories of his youth and his sense of humor was contagious. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and the world was a better place because he was in it.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda Jean Reddish Morton of the home; children, Sherri Morton of Trinity, Travis Mitchell “Timo” Morton, Jr. of the home, Michael T. Morton of Charlotte, and Kimberly E. Doane and husband Russell of Sophia; sister, Shelva Morton Bass of High Point; grandchildren, Shanna Kimmer, Shane Spoone (Angela), Lauren McDowell (Seth), Kristen Morton, Chad Morton, Andrea Morton, and Olivia Doane; great-grandchildren, Vivian McDowell, Jack Michael McDowell, Dontae Spoone, Sarah Spoone, and Gracie Kimmer; step-daughters, Tammy Elvington of NC, and Penny Lee of SC.
