Tommy Cole Obituary

Tommy McClellon Cole, 80, of High Point, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.

Born March 10, 1940, in Lee County, he was the son of the late Braxton McClellon Cole and the late Ethel Cranford Cole. Tommy was a US Navy veteran and had a thirty-two-year career with Duke Power. Following retirement from Duke Power, he became a realtor with Caldwell Banker. Tommy was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in Greensboro.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Maxine Angel Cole of the home; son, Mark Cole and wife Laura of Brooksville, FL; daughter, Ann Smith and husband George of Archdale; grandchildren, Karen Buchanan and husband David, Lynn Church and husband Andrew, and Amelia Wellman and husband Dan; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Blackburn and Geraldine Lemmond.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Johnsen officiating.
