Thelma Hollingsworth Eldridge, 94, of Archdale, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, at her home.
Born August 11, 1925, in Randolph County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Rainey Hollingsworth and the late Carrie Moser Hollingsworth. Mrs. Eldridge was a retired hairstylist and a member of South Plainfield Friends in Sophia.
She is survived by her daughters, Betsy Arnold and husband John of Archdale, and Donna Sumner and husband Larry of Archdale; grandchildren, Craig Arnold (Lindsey), Stephanie Long, Jonathan Jefferson (Tarah), Joshua Nance (Sherry), Brittany Oliver (Michael), and Christian Nance (Lauren); step-granddaughters, Crystal Blanchard (Jesse), and Tiffany Knight (Jamie); and thirteen great-grandchildren, Ava, Hailey, Ella, Kaleb, Masen, Ramsey, Jackson, Anderson, Lillian, Cayla, Carrie, Justin, and Camden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Eldridge, and grandson, Michael Long.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2020, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Hugh Spalding officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
