Suzanne (Church) Deering

Suzanne Church Derring, 81, of High Point, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born September 14, 1942, in Midland, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. Church and the late Marie Braun Church.  Suzanne was a middle school teacher for the Guilford County School System for over fifteen years and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church where she had been active for over thirty years.  She loved gardening, traveling, and a member of the Blueridge Bernese Mountain Dog Club.

She is survived by her husband, E J Derring of the home; daughter Lydia Rose of Asheville; brothers, Colyer Church (Joanna); grandson, Zachary Rose; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Banks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Church.

Services will be held at a later date.
