Steven Ray Reid, 62, of Thomasville, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at High Point Medical Center.

Born August 8, 1956, in Guilford County, he was a son of Jane Stutts Partin of High Point and the late Wesley Ray Reid. Steve attended High Point schools, Hargrave Military Academy and graduated from Trinity High School in 1974. He was an active member of the American Legion, and the VFW in Archdale. Steve attended Emerywood Baptist Church until his health declined. He enjoyed beach trips, cooking out, and long walks on the beach with his mother who he dearly loved.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his aunts, Claudine Ward, and Anita Stutts; special cousins, Susan Ring, and Teresa Taylor; and numerous cousins that he loved dearly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred Partin; grandparents, Edd and Lillian Stutts, and Frank and Ola Reid; and uncle, Charles Stutts.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Emerywood Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Peoples officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
