Sonya Louise Bingham

Sonya Louise Bingham, 83, of High Point, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born April 19, 1939, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Green C. Bingham and the late Mary Steele Bingham. Sonya had a dry sense of humor, loved sports, especially Duke Basketball and the Washington Redskins. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed reading mystery novels, and the music of Reba McEntire.

Sonya is survived by her brother, Harrison Bingham; sister, Fern Browning and husband James, special nieces, nephew, and caregivers, Bobby Bingham and wife Karen, Ellen Cook and husband Danny, and Carolyn Bingham; and many other loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Bingham, Bill Bingham, and Neal Bingham; and sister, Laura Ruth Hudspeth.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Mitchell’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.
