Ronald Kent Callicutt

Ronald Kent Callicutt, 87, of Garner formerly of High Point, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Born April 14, 1933, in High Point, he was a son of the late George Henry Callicutt and the late Hilda Hipps Callicutt. Mr. Callicutt was a US Air Force veteran and a retired carpet installer. He was a member of North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a man who never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Marion Davis Callicutt of the home; son, Barry Callicutt and wife Terrie of Garner, and Ron Blackmon and wife Joyce of Raleigh; grandchildren, Joshua Callicutt, Michael Callicutt, Rev. Adam Blackmon, and Bronna Barbour; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Kent, Annabeth, Jackson, Samuel and Jesse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Callicutt and sister, Jean Rathz.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Darrell Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
