Obituary
Allen “Richard” Nichols, 76, of Sophia, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Pine Acres Center.
Born January 7, 1947, in Randolph County, the son of the late Jonah Edgar Nicholas and the late Annie Ruth Spivey Nicholas. Richard was a Jehovah Witness, a wonderful husband and loving father. He had the patience of Job and was such a selfless man.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Nichols of Sophia; sons, Micah Nichols (Amber) of Colorado and Isaac Nichols of South Carolina; step son, Tim Ross of New London, NC; daughters, Hope Cole (Michael) of South Carolina and Lela Nichols of Mt. Gilead, NC; step daughter, Tina Safriet of Trinity, NC; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Hunley.
No services are planned at this time.
