Rachel Irwin Migliardi
High Point
Rachel Irwin Migliardi, 20, of High Point, went into the arms of Jesus Thursday, October 3, 2019, at her home.
Born December 15, 1998, in High Point, she was the daughter of Dr. Robert Tad Migliardi and Stephanie Griggs Migliardi. Rachel attended Piedmont School through the eighth grade and was home schooled until she graduated. Her passions included playing the piano, studying her Bible, reading with her dad, and playing games with her family. She was a devoted member of Green Street Baptist Church and adored her church family. She had a heart for missions and reaching the “least of these”.
In December of 2017, Rachel was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ carried her through to the end of her earthly life. Philippians 4:11-13 became her life verse, “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Andrew Joseph Migliardi and wife Maddy of Kernersville; grandparents, Jonathan Griggs of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Joseph and Susan Migliardi of Riverview, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Griggs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Ware officiating. Burial will be private at Abbotts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
