Paul David Allen, 80, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point surrounded by his family.
Born January 4, 1940, in Rockingham County, but raised in Greensboro, he was a son of the late Lester L. Allen and the late Edith Duncan Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry; sisters, Juanita, Betty and Judy.
He is survived by his constant companion and wife of nineteen years, Rosalind Roach Allen of Greensboro; daughter, Wendy Austin and husband Jim of High Point; his beloved grandsons, Jake Austin and Gray Austin; brother, Roger Allen and wife Sandy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Known as “Mr. GQ” to his many treasured friends, he was an avid golfer, and shagger who was inducted in the Living Legends of North Myrtle Beach. He was employed in various fields, but best known as a hairstylist and barber. Paul loved his family and was especially proud of his grandsons.
The gathering of family and friends has been canceled.
