Patsy Ruth Hadley Rhudy went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 29, 2021, at her home in High Point, NC. She was born on September 28, 1944, to Frederick Eugene Hadley and Ruth Mae Sharpe Hadley. Patsy was a graduate of Bessemer High School Class of 1962. She worked many places, ultimately retiring from Guilford Health Care Center after faithfully serving for 19 years as their Office Administrator. After retirement, her time was spent helping others. A faithful servant and member of Pilot View Baptist Church, she was known for her beautiful singing voice, always praising God. She was a member of Stitches with Love: Knit and Crochet group where she made lap blankets and shawls for patients at High Point Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed her water aerobics classes, baking and decorating delicious cakes, and spending time with friends and family whom she loved dearly. Patsy was known for her famous cheese straws and party mix and for making people feel loved and remembered with cards on their special occasions.
Although Patsy never had children of her own, she loved her dogs, Benji and Chloe, her “babies”. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Wilma Hadley and Barbara Hadley, both of Greensboro, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, especially Rosemary Gimmel, who took care of her in her final days, and special friend and “adopted son”, Jamie (Loretta) Fredere of Clemmons. She was predeceased in death by her parents and brothers, Charles “Charlie” Hadley and Frederick “Butch” Hadley.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Piedmont for the tremendous care they provided Patsy in her last weeks of life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 or Pilot View Baptist Church, 7173 Prospect Church Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
