Patricia McClure Obituary

Patricia Ann McClure (Trish), 62, of High Point, NC,  took her last breath on May 8th, 2023. Trish was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was born on August 29th, 1960 in Greensboro, NC to Josie Geraldine Tew Butner and Thurman Dagenhart. Trish is survived by her son Robert W. Pike (Andrea), granddaughter Lindsay N. Kallam (Austin), great-grandson Malcom T. Kallam, brothers Jay Gibson (Suzette), Ricky Gibson (Darlene), Lee Maxey (Donna), sister Jamie Dagenhart Kindberg (Gail), sister Dawn Pack, and sister Wanda S. Davis. She was preceded in death by her mother Josie Geraldine Tew Butner, father Thurman Dagenhart, adoptive mother Carolyn Maxey, adoptive father James Maxey, brother Danny Dagenhart, and brother Timmy Maxey.

For anyone who knew Trish, it was clear how she felt about them. She had a way of making it abundantly clear whether she loved you or not. She was a mom to many and would always try her best to keep everyone in line. Her dogs, Red dog and White dog, were her constant companions and she loved traveling with them anywhere there was water. Trish was an avid dancer, and she would dance with anyone and everyone, never wearing shoes. She had a heart of gold and would always help anyone whenever she could. We saw first hand the love shown to my mother and heard countless stories of what she means to her friends. We all thank you for being there for her and for us. You know who you are. Thank you everyone at the VFW post 9899. We also want to thank Dr. Peter Ennever as well as  Hospice of the Piedmont and Randolph that helped take care of her during her last days

No formal arrangements will be made but we will be planning a small gathering after we have time to gather our thoughts.

Before her death, mom and I spoke about the wonderful promise of the resurrection and what that will be like. I can't wait to see her smiling face and have a dance with her when she's no longer sick and I can walk again. She had hope in the promise of Revelation 21:3-4, which tells us that death will be no more, sickness, pain, and outcry will also be a thing of the past. I shared this promise with her many times and now I hope it will bring comfort to any who are hurting due to her death. Remember it's not goodbye but see you later...
