Patricella Jackson

Patricella Jackson (Priscella) was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey to John and the late Dorothy Jackson. Patricella, spent her formative years in the Newark Public School System; she graduated from Essex County Vocational & Technical High School in Irvington, New Jersey in 1983.
Patricella, went on to further her education in Business at Essex County College, graduating in 1987. Patricella retired from the New Jersey Department of Corrections, East Jersey State Prison; she was employed from 1984-2006.
Patricella is survived by her daughter Shaunte’ah C. Jackson (Rashan) of Newark, NJ one granddaughter Skylar M. Lawrence of Newark, NJ. Her father John Jackson of Irvington, NJ, four sisters, Dorothea Irvin (George), Jennifer Mitchell (Gregory), Deborah Hurdle of Newark and Giavona Jackson of Irvington; three brothers, John Jackson Jr., Walter Jackson (Sandra) of Georgia and Robert Jackson (Simone) of Elmwood Park. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy.
Patricella loved to shop, dance, and had a love of music, in fact she was an amazing singer. She was a creative person who was very talented with digital art. A few years after retiring she moved to High Point, North Carolina; this would become her final resting place. She especially loved being a grandmother to Skylar whom she affectionately called her “mini-me” and was thrilled about having a grandson that is due in May.
Patricella was a huge NY Giants fan, and will be miss and loved by those she loved the best.
