Mona Fowler Cox

Mona Fowler Cox, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home.

Born April 17, 1938, in Columbus County, she was a daughter of the late Doc Fowler and the late Vernie Mercer Fowler. Mona retired from Western Electric and was a member of Faith Church.

She is survived by her son, Andre R. Bass of Winston-Salem; daughter, Angela Jones of Winston-Salem; stepdaughters, Anne Rinier and husband Guy of Stuart, Florida, and Karen Lawrence of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Audra Bass, Miranda Kempton, Kaisa Rinier, Armand Griffith Bass, Douglas Rinier, and Amelia Ruth Bass; great-grandchildren, Owen Jones, Kaitlyn Reece, and Corbin Reber.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Gordon Cox.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Faith Church with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
