Mike Fitzgerald, 71, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born September 6, 1948, in Camden, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Nelson P. Fitzgerald and the late Marian Fenstermacher Fitzgerald. Mike was a US Army veteran and a retired machinist with Thomasville Furniture.

He is survived by his fiancé, Deborah Schaal Hayes of the home; sons, Travis Aurand, and Dustin Fitzgerald and wife Kayla; daughters, Michelle Sipe and husband Scott, and Rushelle Welch; brother, Rick Fitzgerald; sisters, Hope Reich, and Sandy Leister and husband Jack; seven grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Michael Fitzgerald; daughter, Angel Marie Aurand; and sister, Rose Fitzgerald.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home, 2947 Woodale Ct., Thomasville, NC.
