Dennis Melvin Kestner, 76, of Archdale, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home.
Born September 27, 1946, in Tazewell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Wylie Denton Kestner and the late Vicie Helen Sparks Kestner. Melvin was a US Army veteran and a Christian business owner of Kustom Graphix in Thomasville for over forty years. He was the head deacon at New Life Baptist Church and was a loving and caring, husband, father and paw paw.
Melvin is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Ruby Kinder Kestner of the home; son, Dennis Melvin Kestner, II and wife Andrea of Thomasville; daughter, Valerie Kestner Shoe and husband Chad of Thomasville; brothers, Jimmy Kestner of Winston-Salem, Faron Kestner and wife Kathy of Kernersville, and Jackie Kestner of Virginia; sister, Betty Allen of High Point, grandchildren, Alexander Shawn Kestner and wife Jordan, Hannah Madyson Shoe, and Haven Montgomery Shoe.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Pastor Michael Mabe officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Garden Park Mausoleum with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
