Mary Ruth (Cranford) King

Mary Ruth Cranford King, 81, of Reidsville, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Ancora Hospice of Rockingham County.

Born March 29, 1942, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Cranford and the late Edith Rogers Cranford.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Teressa King Forrest and husband Tim of Reidsville, Janice King Cureton and husband Russ of California, and Debbie King Neel and husband Mike of California; sisters, Sarah Lovett and husband Jackie of High Point, and Patricia Spence of Tennessee; granddaughter, Kendal Lynn Forrest; six step grandchildren, Alisha Cureton, Stacey Duncan, Susan Payne, Cheryl Schmidt, and Mike Neel, Jr. and seven step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eugene King, brothers, Charles Cranford, and Roger Dale Cranford, and sister, Peggy McDaniel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday, February 12, 2024, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Billy Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service.
