Martin Leonard Resor, Sr, 91, of Archdale, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Graybrier Nursing and Rehab.
Born February 15, 1930 in Elyria, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl Clifford Resor and the late Mildred Braden Resor. Mr. Resor was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He retired from Leggett and Platt.
He is survived by his daughters Debby Toomes of Archdale, Barbara Blackwell of High Point, sons Bob Resor and wife Debbie of Trinity, David Resor of Texas, and Daryl Resor of Wilmington, his sister Betty Resor of Norwalk, Ohio, brothers Frank Resor of Norwalk, Ohio and Tom Resor of Archdale. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gustavia Carroll Resor, son Martin “Buddy” Resor, Jr, stepfather Florian Schaffer, sisters Vera Slagle and twin sister Martha Resor, who passed away May 2, 2021, brothers Doug Resor, Roy Resor, and Bob Schaffer.
Services will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
