Margaret Johnson Green, 94, of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at her home.

Born October 15, 1924, in Ashe, County, she was a daughter of the late John Anderson Johnson and the late Bessie Warren Johnson.  After moving to High Point in 1945 she met the love of her life, Roy Harrison Green on May 31, 1947.  They enjoyed seventy- two years of glorious years together.  They were always together spending every precious moment as a couple in love.  Mrs. Green was a retired fabric inspector with Clarendon Industries, and was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Rev. Roy Green of the home; sons, Steven Green and wife Sandy of Thomasville, and David Green and wife Levon of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Donise Bailey and husband Richard of High Point; brother, William Johnson of Warrensville; grandchildren, Marc Green, Shawn Green, Shad Green, Stacy Paschal, Misty Poteat, April Dominy, and Lindsey Slike; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
