Larke Burleson

Stephanie “Larke” Loflin Burleson, 74, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her home.

Born June 30, 1949, in High Point, she was the daughter of the late Charles Byron Loflin and the late Sarah Hope Brown Loflin. Larke was a 1967 graduate of High Point Central High School and was a member of the “Bison Belles”. She graduated from Brevard College and received her bachelor’s degree from High Point College. Larke was a retired schoolteacher and enjoyed teaching children making a positive impact on their lives.  She enjoyed home decorating, cooking, needlework, the beach, and beach music. Larke was a former member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and St. Albans Episcopal Church in Hickory,

Larke is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Burleson; sons, Grey Burleson, Ryan Burleson, Elliott Burleson and wife Amy Chavis; daughter, Shannon Burleson; and granddaughter, Faye Maryann Burleson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
