Katherine Lyner Hicks

Katherine Lyner Hicks, 77, of High Point, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at her home.

Born January 18, 1943, in Randolph, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Tom Lyner and the late Minnie Hood Lyner. Mrs. Hicks was the owner and operator of Community Dry Cleaning and Alterations in Archdale until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, and was a member of Welch Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, John Hicks and wife Tammy of Archdale; daughter, Michelle Addair and husband Timmy of Thomasville; brothers, Emory Lyner of Alabama, and Dewey Lyner and wife Jean of Alabama; sisters, Sarah White and husband Larry of Alabama, and Nancy Hanson and husband Phil of Georgia; grandchildren, Jennifer Dillard and husband Phillip, Ashley Hicks, and Tyler Addair; great-grandchildren, Jamison Dillard, Kenzie Dillard, and Lilly Dillard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hicks special companion, James McGee, brothers, Jack Lyner, and John Lyner.

Graveside services will be private at Floral Garden Park with Rev. Allen R. Van Meter officiating.
