John Mark Bohls, 75, of High Point, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point, North Carolina.
Born July 13, 1944, in Austin Texas, he was the son of the Late Beth Boyce Bohls and the late Lydia Lindig Ken. Mr. Bohls was a US Navy veteran where he also served proudly as a navigator for the nuclear submarine, the USS Andrew Jackson (SSBN-619). He was also a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a retired QA Analyst with AT&T. Mr. Bohls was also a pilot that enjoyed flying and playing with his grandchildren. Mr. Bohls was also a HAM radio operator and had been an active member of that community.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Louise Syfrett Bohls of the home; son, Thomas Bohls of Greensboro; daughter, Penny Bohls of High Point; brother, Jack Bohls of Texas; grandchildren, Blake Bohls and Alex Seebeck. John also had numerous nieces and nephews in Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathleen and Caroline.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Greensboro with Pastor John Fair officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
