Jennifer Ann Powers

Jennifer Ann Powers, 66, of High Point, passed away, Monday, April 15, 2024, at the High Point Medical Center.

She was born August 22, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan to Johanas Garrett DeBruyn and Joan Evelyn McConnell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother John DeBruyn.

Jennifer loved watching the Detroit Lions football team and was a part of many fantasy football leagues. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, children, and family. Jennifer would plan her day around watching “General Hospital”, she was not available from 2-3:00pm during the week. She had a love for all animals; her toy Australian shepherd, Tucker, and she rescued her hound mix, Lacey.

She was humble and very thoughtful, always looking for ways to help others. A true planner, she made every occasion a special one.

Left to cherish her memory; her daughters, Christie Ann Murphy and husband Eric of Thomasville, and Amanda Rose Graff of Trinity; her grandchildren, Andrew Murphy and Hailey Murphy and close family friend, Randi Coste.

The family will schedule a memorial gathering at a later date.
