James Arthur McDonald, Jr., 74, of High Point, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Westchester Manor.
Born May 11, 1948, in Richmond County, he was a son of the late James Arthur McDonald, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Dumas McDonald.
James is survived by his wife, Vivian Townsler McDonald, sons, Joseph Greene and wife Evelyn, Charles McDonald, Jonathan McDonald and wife Candy, Tyrone McDonald, and Christopher McDonald; daughters, Emma Spencer and husband Greg, Brenda McDonald, Linda McDonald, Angela McDonald, Tammy McDonald (Mock), and Sylvia Pegues; brothers, Gary McDonald, and Andy McDonald; stepson, Patrick Townsler; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George McDonald, and stepdaughter, Wanda Townsler.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Floral Garden Park Cemetery with Reverend Faye Green, Reverend Josphine Greene, and Pastor David Hutton officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point prior to the service.
