Jack Ray Austin

Jack Ray Austin, age 71, of Jamestown, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2022.

He was born on June 30, 1951, in Harlan, KY, the son of the late (Bill and Anna Ruth Austin).  He enjoyed watching sports, especially Kentucky Wildcats basketball.  Jack was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.  He will be remembered as a strong Christian man who loved the Lord and his church family. In addition to his parents preceding him in death were his brothers (Donald Wayne Austin) and (Douglas Edward Austin), and his son (John Sidney “Sid” Austin).

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years (Eleanor Kirkman Austin), his daughter, (Adriane Austin), his sister (Teresa Baker) and husband (Keith), his brother (Mark Austin) and his wife (Angie), his best friend (Joey Minton), and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on Thursday, August 11, at 6:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 6308 Modlin Grove Rd, High Point, NC 27263 with Pastor Jack Tripp officiating. His family will receive friends prior to the memorial service on Thursday, August 11, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church.
