Irvin Scott Whitley, 64, of High Point, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at his home.
Born September 24, 1956, in Richmond, VA, he was a son of Hilda Scott Whitley of High Point and the late Washington Irvin Whitley. Irvin was a US Air Force veteran, owned his own lawn care business, and was a truck driver.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his four-legged companion, “Moose”; his best friend, Terri Miller; daughters, Samantha Christian (Jared) of Winston-Salem, and Stacey Passaro (Eric) of Thomasville; half-brother, Bill Whitley of Tennessee; sisters, Wendy Thompson-Douglas of Trinity, and Beth Whitley of High Point; grandchildren, Elijah Christian, Gabby Davis, and Gloria Davis; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wayne Whitley.
