Hazel Hedrick McCarter, 85, of Trinity, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Randolph Hospice Home.
Born January 9, 1938, in Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Larry B. Hedrick and the late Eva Throckmorton Hedrick. Hazel worked in the sample books industry and was a member of Blessings Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Terri M. Yates (Gary) of Trinity, Cindy M. Roseberry (Dennis) of Thomasville, and Eva M. Mathis (Larry) of High Point; brothers, Junior (Larry) Hedrick (Donese) of Archdale, Ernest Hedrick (Dee) of Archdale, Roger Hedrick of High Point, and Johnny Hedrick (Gail) of Lexington; grandchildren, Joshua Yates (Kate), Courtney Haire (Ted), and Zachary Mosijowsky (Hannah); great grandchildren, Adaline Yates, Sophie Yates, Hannah Haire, Grayson Haire, and Harper Mosijowsky; and her loyal dog Peanut.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. McCarter, brothers, Wade Hedrick, Earl Hedrick, Roy Hedrick, and Jimmy Hedrick, and special friend, William Hilliard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point with Reverend Ronnie Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.
