Gary Alvin Young, Sr.

Gary Alvin Young, Sr., 60, of High Point, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his home.

Born March 14, 1961, in Martinsville, Virginia, he was a son of Janie Robertson Ingle and husband Donald of Asheboro, and the late Jesse O. Young, Sr. Gary was a truck driver and a talented carpenter. He loved to fish, eat good cooking, and enjoyed family gatherings. Gary was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Gary Young, Jr. of High Point, former wife Vickie Young of Thomasville, and brother, Joseph Young of Archdale.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse Young, Jr., and Wayne Young; sisters, Penny Staton, and Janie Segers.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Troy Carter officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
