Elaine Baxley Stein, 65, of Sophia, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at her home.

Born October 10, 1953, in Lumberton, NC, she was a daughter of Betty Davis Baxley of Sophia and the late Billy Baxley.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Keith Stein of the home; son, Steven Stein (Barbara) of Greensboro; daughters, Debbie Jordan of Sophia, Maria Kitchen of Thomasville, and Melissa Stein of Randleman; brothers, Randy Baxley (Judy) of Sophia, and David Baxley (Donna) of Trinity; sister, Tammy Bowen (Kevin) of Asheboro; fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Friendly Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Sluss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
