Edward Nelson Farmer

Edward "Ed" Nelson Farmer, 72, of Archdale, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at his residence.

Born, September 4, 1949, in Statesville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Nicholas Farmer and the late Eva Perry Farmer. Edward married the love of his life the former Elizabeth Childs on July 20, 1973. He was a retired middle and high school history teacher. He worked at Gospel Light Christian School in Walkertown, and also for Guilford County Schools. Edward retired in 2013, after many years of faithfully teaching and mentoring many young people. He was a faithful member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eric Nelson Farmer; and sister, Betty Lambert.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Childs Farmer of the home; daughter, Anita F. White (Aaron) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Rachel White, and Noah White; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Carolina Memorial Baptist Church in Thomasville,

The family will receive friends following the service.
