Dr. Forbis Lee Kivett

Dr. Forbis Lee Kivett, 83, of Archdale, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at his home.

Born June 15, 1939, in Ramseur, he was a son of the late George Wesley Kivett and the late Lois Green Kivett. Dr. Kivett was a retired Wesleyan Minister having served churches throughout North Carolina, most notably at Liberty Wesleyan Church in Summerfield, First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis, and Unity Wesleyan Church in Trinity.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Raynita Conklin Kivett of the home; sons, Chris Kivett, Kelly Kivett, and Chad Kivett and wife Laura; brother, Paul Wesley Kivett; sister, Mary Stanley; grandchildren, Ryan Kivett and wife Kayleigh, and Nick Kivett; great-grandson, Owen Wesley Kivett; and brother-in-law, Jeff Dunn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Selma Kivett; brother, Bill Kivett, and sister, Martha Dunn.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Liberty Wesleyan Church, Summerfield.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Global Partners through the Wesleyan Church.
