Cossentine, Dorothy J. age 85 of Greensboro (formerly Golden Valley. MN) went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point while in the presence of loved ones.

Dorothy was born July 7, 1936 in Eagle Bend, MN and graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1953. -During her 40-year professional career, she worked for Butler Brothers, Modern Medicine Publications, Dennison Mfg, Kwik Sew Pattern Co. and Dayton Hudson. She moved to Northern California in 2013, and then again to North Carolina in 2018, to be close to family. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, reading and attending the orchestra, theatre and sports events.

She is survived by her son Paul Cossentine (Wendy), grandchildren Tyler Cossentine (Ashley), Emily Bertsch (Brandon) and Erik Cossentine (Bailey), six great grandchildren, sisters Harriet Hanson, Helen Ellingson and Thressa Dingmann, nieces Shawn, Rochelle, Nancy, Gwen, Sandy and LeAnn, nephews Jay, Gerald, Edward and Robert, and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her fiancé Robert Dietl, parents Harry and Harriet Alice Cossentine, twin brother Col. Douglas Cossentine, brother Lawrence Cossentine, sister Carolyn Buen, three great grandchildren and best friend Joanne Gibson.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held in Minnesota in the spring of 2022.
