Donald George Armstrong

Donald George Armstrong passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by his children on Tuesday, March 30th.

Born December 29th, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY he was a son to the late Jack Armstrong and Rita Armstrong Dvorak.  He is survived by his brothers John, Robert and Jim and sister Doris.

Don’s greatest joy in life were his children, Jennifer Armstrong, Ryan Armstrong (Brittany) and Kelsey Paratore (Nick) and his granddaughters McKenzie, Alexa and Avery.  His grandson Jack is on the way! Don was also an Uncle to many, many nephews and nieces, all of whom considered him their favorite.

Beyond his family, Don’s life energy was focused on community service, compassionate optimism and baseball.  He never left a compliment left unsaid or encouragement ungiven.  Don had a gift to make people feel like the most important person in the world. His love of all mankind was an inspiration to all that encountered him and he left this world living by his mantra of “Love and Mercy”.

He will be forever missed.

A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point, NC April 23rd at 1:00pm
