Danny S. Smith

Danny S. Smith, 71, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born October 22, 1949, in Sampson County, he was a son of the late Eartle Smith and the late Mary Kate Peterson Smith. Danny was a US Army veteran, a retired furniture builder, and a member of Allendale Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Betty Carroll Smith of the home; sons, Jeff Smith of Trinity, and Richie Smith of Winston-Salem; daughter, Jennifer Smith of Trinity; brother, Richard Smith of, and Earl Smith of Thomasville; sisters, Mary Small and husband Frank of Trinity, Rose Ellen Craven of Winston Salem, and Ann Hughes of Thomasville; grandchildren, Hailey, Daisy, Jeremy, Evan, Erin, Elliana, and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Smith, and sister, Gertrude Ingram.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, October 4, 2021, in Floral Garden Park with Rev. David Younger officiating. Military honors will be rendered.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM Sunday at Wright Funerals-Cremations.
