Cassie Emiline (Hamby) Phipps

Cassie Emiline Hamby Phipps, 85, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the High Point Medical Center.

She was born Friday, October 28, 1938, in Wilkes County to Arvis Hamby and Texie Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Brown.

Cassie was a loving mother and grandmother. A true people person, she would do anything for others. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flower gardens, and keeping a meticulously clean home. Cassie married Charles “Chuck” Terry Phipps on Wednesday, March 25, 1959.

Left to cherish her memory; her husband, Chuck Phipps; son, Charles Phipps, Jr. and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Britton Phipps and Isabella Brown; brother, Clinton Hamby; sisters, Jewel Reece, Carolyn Hussey (Lennie) and Denise Essex (Chuck); and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 18, 2024, in the Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville with Reverend Frank Hensley officiating.
