Bob Whitton

Robert Wayne “Bob” Whitton, Jr. 78, of High Point, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born October 3, 1942, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Robert Wayne Whitton, Sr. and the late Anna Twitty Whitton. Bob was a retired machine tool sales executive and an active member of Emerywood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Danneal Burdette Whitton of the home; daughters, Tammy Whitton Fagan of South Carolina, Chelsea Burdette Whitton and husband Matthew Yeager of Ohio, and Lindsay Whitton Noble and husband Collin Noble of Cary; sister, Jean Whitton; grandchildren, Kemper Fagan, Walt Fagan, Trent Fagen, and Ford Fagan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne “Trey” Whitton, III.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in Floral Garden Park, with The Reverend Timothy Peoples officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Emerywood Baptist Church Food Pantry, 1300 Country Club Dr., High Point, NC, 27262.
