Barbara Ann Pankey Miller, 65, entered into the gates of Heaven on June 29, 2019.

Barbara was born on February 28, 1954, to the late Paul Pankey Jr. and Anna Pruitt O'Neil. Barbara has now joined her brothers, Jerry Winfred Pruitt and James Howard Pankey; along with her sister, Jeanette Pankey Leach in Heaven.

Barbara is survived by her children, Nicholas Miller (Nick) and daughter, Carol M. Hineline; grandchildren, Jimmy Miller, Ceeaira Hineline, and Alex Miller; a niece and nephew; furbabies, Jeff, Butters, and Carmel.

Barbara was a homemaker most of her life. She raised her two children, many furbabies and countless “so-called adopted kids” over the years. She attended church at Destination Heaven. She loved and enjoyed the companionship of her furbabies. Barbara enjoyed making people happy and could make you smile no matter how bad you felt. She sacrificed so much of herself just to make sure people she cared for were happy and safe. She went above and beyond in all that she did and that’s what made her so special. Barbara was the best mom, grandma, sister, and friend a person could ask for. Barbara was always willing to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on; arms to comfort and a heart full of empathy and love. She always had a way of making you feel loved, a way of understanding and accepting no matter the situation. There will be an emptiness in the hearts of all that knew her. She left her mark on us, and that’s what matters most. She showed us love and compassion no matter what. We love you Barbara, and we will miss you dearly forever. Thank you for leaving this mark on us, and for all the wonderful memories. Welcome home, to the beautiful city with golden gates.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Destination Heaven, 1796 Old County Farm Rd., Sophia, NC.
