William L. Herring, 70, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at his home.

Born October 24, 1946, in Mullins, SC, he was a son of the late Stanley Herring, Sr., and the late Janie Phillips Herring. Mr. Herring was a self-employed roofer.

He is survived by his son, William Herring of Archdale; daughter Sandy Hill and husband, William of High Point; brother, Stanley Herring, Jr. and wife Debbie of High Point; sister, Betty Chavis and husband Jasper of Thomasville; grandchildren, Sara, Hanna, Daniel and Erik.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Lackey Herring in 2016; two brothers, and five sisters.

Services will be private.
