June 1, 1963 — May 14, 2021

William Yoder Conrad Jr.

William Y. Conrad Jr. “Bill” of Sophia North Carolina died May 14, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center at the age of 57.

Bill was born in High Point North Carolina and graduated from Ragsdale High School in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Y Conrad Sr and Rebecca J Lewallen Conrad, and the love of his life, Tami S Harris. Bill and Tami were married shortly after they met, and Tami gave birth to their son William “Chase” Conrad in 1987. Though the two went their separate ways, Bill would always have a special place in his heart for her. Tami remarried and had a beautiful daughter, Jordyn Summers, but would eventually find her way back to her happily ever after with Bill. Growing up, Bill loved to camp and fish, and he passed those passions onto his son, Chase. Bill couldn’t have been prouder to be Chase’s dad. He found a way to include the words “my boy Chase” in every conversation that he could.

He loved going to the beach with his family, playing with his dog Layla, and making people laugh. He was tough on the outside, but had a huge heart, and a gentle soul.

Bill is survived by his son William “Chase” Conrad, and stepdaughter Jordyn Summers; sisters Kathy Kiziah, Debbie Sloane, and Tammie Beamon husband Ralph; and dozens of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was a wonderful brother, uncle, dad, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday May 22, at United Missionary Church District Campgrounds, located at 4861 Trogdon Country Trail, Randleman NC. Dress casually, bring your favorite covered dish, and any pictures, stories, or fond memories you would like to share with Bill’s friends, and family.

Thank you to Randolph County EMS, Randolph Hospital, and Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center for all of their hard work, and compassion through this difficult time. Memorials can be made to United Missionary Church.
