Walter Steven Funke, 65, of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born April 3, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the Georgia Duncan Funke of Ohio and the late Walter Funke. Mr. Funke was a machinist with Brass Craft.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Cagney Funke of the home; son, Eric Funke and wife Mary of FL; daughter, Kimberly Funke of Fl; step-sons, Jarrod Gass of SC, Chip Gass of Charlotte and Nick Gass of TX; step-daughters, Courtney Lunquist of Mint Hill, Catherine Congdon of Charlotte and Christine Gass of Charlotte; sister, Helen King of NY; Brother, Mark Funke of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
