Walter “Wally” Laskis, SK, PGK, 79, of High Point, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born June 16, 1937 in Illinois, he was a son of the late Walter Laskis and the late Bessie Kumpik Laskis. Mr. Laskis was the owner of Carolina Service Company and Wally’s World of Entertainment where he was Santa Claus for fifteen years at Four Seasons Mall and five years at Oak Hollow Mall. Mr. Laskis was a member of Our Lady of the Highway Catholic Church and was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus and Past Grand Knight.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Kathy Kirk Laskis; sons, Anthony Laskis of High Point and Ken Laskis of CA; daughter, Andrea Laskis of GA; brother, James Laskis of FL; sisters, Victoria Valor of MI and Judith Thomas of FL; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Laskis.

Services will be Saturday December 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church in Thomasville, NC.

This year, Wally is spending Christmas in Heaven with Jesus. Have Fun at the Party! We all are going miss you.
