Viola Gertrude (Scott) Wheeles

Viola Gertrude Scott Wheeles, 89, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at her home.

Born May 19, 1934, in Guilford County, she was a daughter to the late John Scott and the late Mary Myers Scott.  Viola was a homemaker and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, John W. Wheeles, II (Jan) of Dobson; daughter, Katherine Wheeles of Lexington; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John William Wheeles, brother, Alford Scott, and sister Elsie Scott.
