She is survived by her husband, Steve Nicks of Thomasville; daughters Stefanie Nicks (Derrick Flippin) and Andrea Davis (Michael Davis); grandsons Steven and Jacob Davis; her sister, Sherry Hartman and Sandra and Randy Ashburn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Susie Hartman of Thomasville. She was born on July 9, 1953, in Thomasville. She graduated from East Davidson High School in 1971. In 1981 she accepted a position as a church secretary at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, where she worked for 38 years.

She was a cherished wife and mother. She married Steve Nicks in 1979 and the couple raised two wonderful daughters together.

Vickie was deeply devoted to her family and church throughout her life. In addition to being the church secretary, she was involved in many children and youth programs, and enjoyed being in the choir and in the Adoration singing group. She was also a member of the first Hand Bell Choir at Mt Zion. She enjoyed painting and crafts and was known for her quick wit and keen sense of humor. Her family and friends will always remember her as someone who loved her home, her family, and her Yorkie, Bebe, especially.
