Gerrie Lamb Bowles

Vera “Gerrie” Louise Lamb Bowles, 86, of Trinity, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the High Point Medical Center.

Born August 1, 1940, in Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Lamb and the late Louise Younger Lamb.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Hendrix.

Gerrie married Carroll Bowles and were married for 67 years. She loved the Lord and was a Member of Green Street Baptist Church. Gerrie enjoyed going to Hilton Head beach and was an avid Carolina Tar Heel fan.

Those left to hold her memory; her husband, Carroll Bowles; daughter, Vickie Sheets and husband Greg; grandson; Christopher Sheets and wife Lina; great grandsons, Beckett and Benson “Benny” Sheets; brother, David Lamb; cherished uncle, Bill Younger and wife Nancy, nieces, cousins and other family.

The family will receive friends at the Archdale Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, day and time to be announced.
