Vaughn Michael York

Vaughn Michael York, 77, of High Point, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living.

Born January 23, 1944, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Guy Hampton York and the late Ada Reelas York. Vaughn was a US Marine Corp veteran serving in Vietnam, and a retired Vice-President of Consumer Lending with BB&T. He was a longtime member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

Vaughn is survived by his wife Deborah McMullan York of the home; daughters, Karen Allen of Scottsdale, AZ and Leigh York Hedrick and husband Jerad of High Point; brother, Guy York and wife Nancy of Asheboro; grandchildren, Taylor Davis, Kamden White, Maci McCoy, and Eli Allen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in the Sanctuary of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with military honors and Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. Inurnment will be private in the church columbarium.

The family will receive friends in the Asbury Room following the service.
