Vance Smith

Silvester Vance Smith, 82, of High Point, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his home.

Born December 14, 1941, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Charles Arthur Whitmore Smith and the late Lucille Jacobs Smith.  Vance worked as a cloth cutter in furniture manufacturing and was a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by sisters-in-laws, Ann White and Deanie Michael (Bud); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Yates Smith.

Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the High Point chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
