Tony Frank Rich

Tony was born June 6, 1961. At the age of sixty-four, he passed peacefully on the afternoon of February 28, 2026, surrounded by friends and family.

He was a son, a brother, a friend, and above all, a treasure hunter. Whether close to home or traveling, he had a keen eye for picking out prizes no one else could see, from one-of-a-kind bottles and keepsakes to arrowheads lost to time. He never set foot in a place without uncovering something special, always on the lookout for artifacts to add to his collection or elusive facts to prove Bigfoot or other fantastical creatures may linger just outside our view. As a farmer, he shared a special kinship with animals. He loved fishing and hunting and was as good a marksman as he was a seeker of lost treasures.

He is survived by his mother, Polly Queen, and her husband, Dale; his father, Frank Rich, and his wife, Carol; his sister, Phyllis Farlow, her husband, Brad, and their daughter, Maddie; honorary sister, friend, and caretaker, Trish Dunford; and many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Yow, his grandparents, Hal and Margaret Rich, and grandparents, Sam and Mamie Edmonds. He cherished his family including his aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many dear friends.

Funeral service will be held in Tony’s honor at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Glenola Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Kimmons officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Glenola Baptist Church in his memory and would like to express gratitude for the many kindnesses the Glenola Baptist community offered Tony and his family throughout the years.
